Linde's rule [′lin·dəz ‚rül]

The rule that the increase in electrical resistivity of a monovalent metal produced by a substitutional impurity per atomic percent impurity is equal toa+b(v- 1)², whereaandbare constants for a given solvent metal and a given row of the periodic table for the impurity, andvis the valence of the impurity.
