    0.01 sec.
Linitskaia, Liubov’ Pavlovna

(married name, L. P. Zagorskaia). Born Dec. 27, 1866, in the sloboda (large village) of Preobrazhenskaia, now in Vasil’kov Raion, Dnepropetrovsk Oblast; died Feb. 5, 1924, in Kiev. Soviet Ukrainian actress.

Linitskaia began acting in 1886. She worked in the companies of N. K. Sadovskii and I. A. Mar’ianenko. Her acting was distinguished by heroic enthusiasm and psychological depth. Her roles included Marusia Boguslavka and Sviridikha in Staritskii’s Marusia Boguslavka and The Defense of Busha, Tat’iana and Var’ka in Karpenko-Karyi’s Bondarivna and Luckless, and Natal’ia in Mirnyi’s Lymerivna. Linitskaia brought great insight to such comedy roles as Pronia Prokopovna in Staritskii’s Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too.
