Liqueurs and Spirits

    0.01 sec.
Liqueurs and Spirits

alcoholic beverages containing aromatic and flavoring substances, ethyl alcohol, sugar, acid, essential oils, and sometimes starch molasses. Liqueurs, cordials, and infusions are distinguished according to the alcohol and sugar content. Liqueurs and spirits are prepared by blending fortified juices and infusions, sugar and molasses syrups, coloring, and aromatic spirits. Rectified spirits, softened water, and solutions of acids and salts are added, and the contents are filtered, stored in oak containers (aged), and finally racked.
