Liuben’-Velikii 

(also Liuben-Velikii), a balneological and mud-bath health resort in the Ukrainian SSR, located 22 km southwest of L’vov. Summers are warm (mean July temperature, 18°C) and winters are moderately mild (mean January temperature, — 4°C). Annual precipitation totals 670 mm. Therapeutic remedies include mineral springs whose water has the chemical formula (the principal spring)

The water is used for baths, inhalations, and irrigations. There is also peat mud.

Patients with diseases of the cardiovascular and peripheral nervous systems and of organs of locomotion and support, gynecological disorders, and skin diseases are treated at the resort. There are sanatoriums and a polyclinic.
