Robert R. Livingston, 1654–1728, b. ..... Click the link for more information. , family. Livingston, Peter van Brugh (1710–92) merchant, patriot; born in Albany, N.Y. (brother of Philip and William Livingston). He prospered in New York City by privateering and by supplying various military expeditions during the French and Indian wars.
