Llandudno (hländĭd`nō, lăndŭd`nō), town (1981 pop. 13,202), Conwy, NW Wales, on a point of land jutting into the Irish Sea. Llandudno is a popular seaside resort with a mild climate. It is where Lewis Carroll Carroll, Lewis, pseud. of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, 1832–98, English writer, mathematician, and amateur photographer, b. near Daresbury, Cheshire (now in Halton).
