Long Point State Park on Lake Chautauqua Location: Off Route 17, on Route 430 west of Bemus Point. Facilities: Picnic area, picnic pavilions, playground, multi-use trails, nature trail, beach, marina, dockage, boat launch, food (é). Activities: Boating (including power boating), fishing, swimming, hiking, bicycling, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing. Special Features: Park property includes peninsular waterfront and a large public marina with the most modern boat launch on Lake Chatauqua. The lake, at 1,308 feet above sea level, is one of the highest navigable bodies of water in North America. Its major attraction is fishing for muskellunge (muskie), which are native to the lake and noted for their size.
