Long Strait

Long Strait

 

strait between Vrangel’ Island and the coast of Asia. Long Strait joins the East Siberian and Chukchi seas; at its narrowest point it is 125 km wide. Most of the year it is covered with ice. It was named in honor of the American navigator T. Long.
