Low, Isaac (1735–91) merchant, Loyalist; born at Raritan Landing, N.J. A successful New York City merchant, he was a moderate in the First Continental Congress (1774–75). He cooperated with the British occupation forces (1776–83) and his property was confiscated by patriots (1779). A founder of the New York Chamber of Commerce, he moved to England in 1783.
