Location: In Lowell, in northeast Massachusetts; access via Route 495.
Facilities: Trails (6 miles).
Activities: Boating (non-motorized), fishing, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, hunting (with restrictions), cross-country skiing, snowmobiling.
Special Features: Prior to colonial settlement, this was probably the site of a Native American village. Later, the land was acquired to obtain granite for canals and factory foundations.
