Ludlam, Charles (1943–87) playwright, actor, director; born in Floral Park, N.Y. Cofounder in 1967 of the Ridiculous Theatrical Company, he received an Obie for it in 1969. Known for his outrageous, campy portrayals, often of female characters, he also received an Obie in 1973 for his roles in Corn and Camille. How to thank TFD for its existence?
