Lugal-Zaggesi
(or Lugal-zaggisi), initially the ruler (ensi) of the city-state of Umma, then king of the city of Uruk and of all Sumer (24th century B.C.). Lugal-zaggesi defeated Urukagina (more correctly, Uruinimgina), the king of Lagash. Later he was defeated and captured by Sargon I, king of Akkad. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
