The system is based on AZUR Environmental's validated Microtox Test System technology, which uses a specialized strain of freeze-dried luminescent bacteria as a biosensor to detect biological effects of contaminants present in test samples.
Wednesday announced it had successfully defended its basic patent in Germany (DE2841-896C2) and Sweden (78,10154-O) for the use of luminescent bacteria in the detection of toxicity.
