Lunéville (lünāvēl`), town (1990 pop. 22,393), Meurthe-et-Moselle dept., NE France, on the Meurthe River in Lorraine. It is known for its crockery. Railroad equipment, textiles, and wooden toys are also made. The 18th-century palace in Lunéville was the residence of Stanislaus I.
