the name for part of the left low-lying bank at the bend in the Moskva River, opposite the Lenin (formerly the Vorob’ev) Hills in southwestern Moscow. Also known by this name is the V. I. Lenin Central Stadium built on the site in 1955-56, which is one of the largest sports complexes in the world.
