Lymington and Pennington

Lymington and Pennington (lĭm`ĭngtən), town (1991 pop. 11,614), Hampshire, S England, on the Solent channel at the mouth of the Lymington River. It is a market town, resort, and port; coast trading and yacht building are pursued and piston rings are produced. A Roman camp was in the vicinity. Henry II landed at Lymington in 1154 on the way to his coronation.
