This process is made easiest with other open standards-based or POSIX-conformant OSes such as LynuxWorks' LynxOS real-time operating system (RTOS) and LynxOS-178 safety-critical RTOS, since the host OS would need to intercept Linux system calls in order for a port to be possible. Aonix(R), a provider of solutions for safety- and mission-critical applications, announced today a strategic agreement in which LynuxWorks will market and distribute Aonix technology alongside its LynxOS product line.
