(pharmacology)
Any drug, such as isocarboxazid and tranylcypromine, that inhibits monoamine oxidase and thereby leads to an accumulation of the amines on which the enzyme normally acts.

As well, people who are taking MAOI inhibitors should stay away from this product.
MAOI inhibitors usually require specific dietary restrictions because, when combined with certain foods, they can cause a large, sudden increase in blood pressure known as a "hypertensive crisis," which can lead to a stroke.
Just be careful not to take any of these warnings in with MAOI inhibitors - or if you suffer from liver or kidney disease.
