MFi

(Made For IDevices) A licensing program from Apple that authorizes vendors of plugs, sockets, AirPlay streaming devices and game controllers to connect to Apple's iOS devices (iPhone, iPod, iPad). In 2005, prior to the launch of iPhones and iPads, MFi was introduced as "Made For iPod."
