MIIS
(MEDITECH Interpretive Information System) A programming language that evolved from the MUMPS language (later M), developed by co-founders of MEDITECH, a major provider of healthcare IT software. While MUMPS/M became an ANSI standard, MEDITECH retained control of MIIS. MUMPS and MIIS are similar, but they are not entirely compatible. See MEDITECH and M.

MIIS will be the first fully "Microsoft-productized" version of MMS, which Microsoft acquired from Zoomit Corp in 1999, said Adrien Ransom, VP of marketing at OpenNetwork Technologies Inc.
Located at one of the nation's premier golfing destinations--the Monterey Peninsula--the MIIS language program would enable its members to meet the new specifications for English skills while providing opportunities to practice their golf game.
