MIPI M-PHY

(MIPI M-PHYsical) A serial communications protocol widely used in mobile devices that is governed by the MIPI Alliance. MIPI M-PHY lanes can either transmit or receive, and they can be combined for greater speed. Type-I lanes use pulse width modulation (PWM) and can support a shared clock. Type-II lanes use non-return-to-zero (NRZ) and require a shared clock. Low speed (LS) mode transmits from 3 to 576 Mbps, while high speed (HS) supports 1.2 to 5.8 Gbps in three "Gear" modes.
