MIUI

(Mobile Internet UI) A version of the Android operating system from China-based consumer electronics manufacturer Xiaomi Inc. Developed for the Chinese market in 2010, MIUI was based on code from Android Version 2.2 (Froyo) and CyanogenMod. Releases for other countries are maintained by third-party developers, and all MIUI installations require updating the firmware in the device. Although some MIUI versions include Google software, the Chinese versions contain fewer Google apps and services with each release. See Android ROM and Android versions.
