MPEGIF
(MPEG Industry Forum, www.mpegif.org) A Swiss not-for-profit organization devoted to the advancement of MPEG-4, MPEG-7 and MPEG-21 standards worldwide. Founded in 2000 as M4IF and renamed MPEGIF in 2003, the organization does not license MPEG, but is involved in discussions that lead to patent pools that do license (see MPEG LA). MPEGIF also provides interoperability testing. See MPEG and Pro-MPEG Forum.
