An earlier social networking site from Microsoft that enabled users to share personal information and photos, and write a blog. Originally MSN Spaces in 2004 and renamed in 2006, Windows Live Spaces also included an event planner for inviting guests. Windows Live Writer was a desktop word processing application that published directly to Windows Live Spaces, SharePoint and other blog services. In 2011, the Spaces service was eliminated.
