MT-RJ connectorA fiber-optic cable connector that is very popular for small form factor devices due to its small size. Housing two fibers and mating together with locating pins on the plug, the MT-RJ comes from the MT connector, which can contain up to 12 fibers.

| Lately, an informal consortium of optical transceiver vendors, called the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), developed a "Small Form Factor (SFF)" module that supported the small optical connectors: SG, LC, and MT-RJ. Allied Telesyn offers an array of GBIC and SFP pluggables, with ST, SC, MT-RJ, and RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet media connections. FIS will make assemblies with 3M VF-45 connectors on one end and on the other, an FC, SC, ST, MT-RJ or LC connector using singlemode or multimode GGP (Glass/Glass/Polymer) fiber cable. |
