Most of the poems in Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats were written between 1936 and 1938 including the famous poems Macavity, Old Deuteronomy and Mr Mistoffelees.
And in the final two Yazdan recited Macavity by TS Eliot.
Faced with any crisis - like the disappearing Macavity from the musical Cats, he would suddenly be nowhere to be seen.
