Madison Buffalo Jump State Park Location: 23 miles west of Bozeman on I-90 at Logan exit, then 7 miles south on Buffalo Jump Road. Facilities: Picnic area, trails, interpretive displays. Activities: Hiking, bicycling. Special Features: Prior to the arrival of the horse and gun, native peoples stampeded herds of bison over this cliff to their death. They then used all parts of the buffalo for their food, clothing, and shelter. A hike to the top of the jump affords impressive views of the Madison River Valley.
