A geophysical exploration technique that measures natural electromagnetic fields to image subsurface electrical resistivity, providing information about the earth's interior composition and structure since naturally occurring rocks and minerals exhibit a broad range of electrical resistivities.

The three target Pipes, the Elle, Hola and Hada have been defined by remote sensing, surface geology and surface geophysics - an electrical type specifically called Controlled Source and Natural Source Audiorange Magnetotellurics or CS/NS AMT for short.
Xavier Garcia of the Geological Survey of Canada as part of their research to evaluate and expand the use of magnetotellurics as an exploration tool, and to provide an improved interpretation of Gallery's AMT data.
Woods has extensive industry experience, particularly in borehole transient electromagnetics and magnetotellurics, and also was a professor of Geophysics Studies at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario.
