Mahi 

a river in western India. It flows down from the northern slopes of the Vindhya Range. It passes mainly through flat country and empties into the Gulf of Khambhat of the Arabian Sea, forming an estuary. Length, more than 550 km. During periods of summer monsoon rains the river becomes copious. During low-water periods it dries up in places. The Mahi is used for irrigation.
