Malin 

a city (since 1938), the administrative center of Malin Raion, Zhitomir Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Located on the Irsha River (a tributary of the Teterev) 4 km from the Malin railroad station (on the Kiev-Korosten’ line). Population, 17,900 (1972). Malin’s factories include an experimental factory, a vegetable drying plant, a brickyard, a bakery, a dairy, and factories producing paper, bentwood furniture, and clothing. A timber technicum is located in Malin.
