Mantiqueira, Serra Da
a mountain massif in Brazil, located west of Rio de Janeiro in the Brazilian Highlands. Composed of crystalline and metamorphic rocks, the Serra da Man-tiqueira rises to an elevation of 2,787 m at Mount Itatiaia (Mount Agulhas Negras), falls steeply in the southeast to the wide valley of the Paraiba River basin.
