Marinduque (märēnd `kā), province (1990 pop. 185,524), the Philippines, between Mindoro and S Luzon. It includes Marinduque Island and 24 other islands. Iron, gold, silver, and copper are mined there. There is also a lumbering industry and subsistence farming.Marinduque an island of the central Philippines, east of Mindoro: forms, with offshore islets, a province of the Philippines. Capital: Boac.
