Location: Route 17 to Route 14 exit (Watkins Glen), go 2 miles, turn right at Route 14, then left onto Ridge Road, go 1 block and turn left onto Middle Road.
Facilities: 18-hole golf course, food, showers.
Activities: Golf, bow hunting (in season), cross-country skiing.
Special Features: Park is named for the great 19th-century author, who spent summers in the area. The park's Soaring Eagles Golf Course is one of the most scenic and challenging golf courses in the area. The course is dotted with kettle ponds, created by glacial retreat at the end of the last Ice Age.
