Marquand, Allan

Marquand, Allan (1853–1924) art historian; born in New York City. He graduated from Princeton (1874), studied theology, then studied at the University of Berlin (1877–78), and Johns Hopkins (Ph.D. 1880). He taught at Princeton beginning in 1881, and specialized in cataloguing the works of the Della Robbia family of Italy.
