Martem’Ianov, Vladimir Davydovich
Born June 15, 1936, in Kemerovo; died Apr. 13, 1970, in Essentuki. Buried in Kemerovo. Soviet acrobatic pilot. Honored Master of Sport (1966) and international-class sports master (1966). Martem’ianov was the first Soviet pilot to be overall champion of the world (1966) in aerobatics. He was also overall champion of the USSR for aerobatics in 1964 and 1967-69.
