Maryborough

a city in the state of Queensland, Australia. Population, 20, 000 (1971); a port on the country’s east coast. Local industries include metallurgy, the manufacture of transportation equipment andtextiles, and food processing, mainly sugar refining. Maryborough is the center of an agricultural region producing sugarcane, tropical fruits, vegetables, and corn. It exports agricultural produce.
