Ghost in the Shell was based on Masamune Shirow's comic book by the same name. Enticed by the false representations of a Spanish ship captain, Sebastian Vizcaino, Masamune sent one of his retainers, Hasekura Rokuymon, and Fray Luis Sotelo to negotiate on his behalf in Mexico and Europe. Also set to debut next year is the company's first anime EX MACHINA, the sequel to the 2005 feature anime APPLESEED by Shirow Masamune (GHOST IN THE SHELL) and directed by Shinji Aramaki (ROBOTECH). |
