a Moravian cultural and educational society. It formed in 1852 in Brno after splitting from the Cyril and Methodius Society. Matice Moravská published a series of historical and philological works. It brings together scholars mainly in the fields of history, history of literature, and culture. Sbornik Matice moravské (until 1956, Časopis Matice moravské) is the press organ of Matice Moravská.
