Maybury State Park Location: In northwest Wayne County, at 8 Mile Road and Beck Road (5 miles west of I-275; 4 miles north of M-14; or 4 miles south of I-96). Facilities: Picnic area, 4 picnic shelters (é), playground, fishing pier, multi-use trails (some @di), equestrian trail (11 miles), riding stable and horse staging area, ski trail (10 miles). Activities: Fishing, hiking (é), bicycling (é), mountain biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing. Special Features: Maybury is a day-use park that provides a state park setting within a metropolitan area. Emphasis is on introducing the natural features of the environment to people who may not otherwise be able to experience it.
