Fast-food patrons along Denver's 16th Street Mall might have done a double-take when the McDonald's at Cleveland Place reopened recently after being closed several months for remodeling.
With its trays of fragrant tandoori chicken and fish masala, and customers at formica tables cooled by fans turning lazily overhead, the business is difficult to confuse with McDonald's and its racks of burgers.
The former Hong Kong managing director of fast food giant McDonald's was convicted of taking 320,000 US dollars in kickbacks from a supplier, the city's anti-corruption body said.
