McKechnie, (William Boyd) Bill (1886–1965) baseball manager; born in Wilkinsburg, Pa. During his 25-year career as manager (1915–46), mostly with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Braves, and Cincinnati Reds, he won four league pennants and two world championships.
