McNamee, Graham (1888–1942) broadcaster; born in Washington, D.C. A pioneer radio sportscaster, he covered the World Series as early as 1923, and in 1927 he was the announcer for the first coast to coast broadcast of the Rose Bowl. He also covered the Republican national convention in 1924, the first national political convention ever broadcast.
