Meadows, Audrey (b. Cotter) (?1922– ) television comedienne; born in Wu Chang, China. Daughter of American missionaries, trained as a singer, she was featured on radio in the Bob and Ray Show, then appeared on television's Jackie Gleason Show (1952–55). She played Ralph Cramden's long-suffering wife, Alice, on the Honeymooners (1955–56). A regular on television comedy shows, she later appeared on Murder She Wrote in the 1980s and on CBS's Uncle Buck (1990–91). How to thank TFD for its existence?
