Meditsinskaia Gazeta
(Medical Gazette), an organ of the Ministry of Public Health of the USSR, the Ministry of the Medical Industry, and the Central Committee of the Union of Medical Workers. Meditsinskaia gazeta has been published twice weekly in Moscow since 1938 (until 1962, as Meditsinskii rabotnik [Medical Worker]). It reports the activities of public health establishments, higher institutions of medical education, research institutes, enterprises of the medical industry, state health agencies, and public health organizations (medical societies, for example). It also offers news of advances in Soviet and foreign medicine, activities of trade union organizations, activities of the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies, and the state of public health in socialist and capitalist countries.
