MeeGo

An operating system from Intel and Nokia designed for smartphones, netbooks, TVs and in-vehicle entertainment systems. Announced in February 2010, MeeGo merges Nokia's Linux-based Maemo operating system with the Linux-based Moblin OS and uses Nokia's Qt development platform for writing applications. MeeGo runs on ARM and Atom processors.

Although Nokia announced in early 2011 that it would use Microsoft's Windows Phone platform for its future smartphones, MeeGo products are still expected. See Moblin, Maemo and Qt.
