ISTANBUL, Nov 12, 2009 (TUR) -- TeliaSonera and Altimo have agreed to combine their ownership interests in Turkcell and MegaFon into a new company in a bid to resolve ongoing legal disputes between each of them and with Turkcell, Turkey's leading GSM operator, Sonera said in a statement on Thursday.
Business AKIpress reported earlier that Russia's Megafon mobile operator plans to buy Bimocom, which works under brand MegaCom.
Meanwhile, it was reported in May 2008 that Russian cellco MegaFon had declared its intention to bid for Iran's fourth national mobile licence when it becomes available.
