Meniscus Telescope

 

a type of catadioptric telescope in which the optical system consists of a glass meniscus (concavo-convex lens with spherical surfaces) and a concave spherical mirror. The meniscus telescope was invented in 1941 by D. D. Maksutov. (SeeMAKSUTOV TELESCOPE.)
