Meramec State Park


Location:3 miles south of Sullivan on Highway 185, in Franklin, Washington, and Crawford counties.
Facilities:52 basic campsites, 125 electric campsites, 14 campsites with electric and water hookups, 18 campsites with full hookups, showers, group tenting area, 10 cabins, 10 duplex/fourplex units, 22 motel rooms, picnic sites, 4 picnic shelters, dining lodge, hiking and backpacking trails, boat ramp, canoe and raft rental, visitor center, exhibits, camp store, conference center. Some services and facilities are available on a seasonal basis.
Activities:Camping, canoeing, rafting, river fishing, swimming, hiking, backpacking, cave tours.
Special Features:Park includes several miles of shoreline along the Meramec River and features bluffs, forests, several springs, and more than 40 caves. Exhibits at the Visitor Center include large aquariums that display the variety of aquatic life found in the river.
