They were followed by acicular-fibrous zeolites such as natrolite/ gonnardite, thomsonite, mesolite and scolecite Analcime is usually a Na-rich mineral phase, but may sometimes contain appreciable K (Utada, 1970).
Mesolite is generally milky white and fibrous with fibres larger than those of natrolite.
Yet even these great mesolite specimens are exceeded in size by several of the 100 scolecite specimens taken in January 2008 from a quarry near Junnar village.
This quarry was previously very well known for producing top-quality mesolite and attractive green (vanadium-bearing) fluorapophyllite.

First, there are not-beautiful but very unusual specimens, found very recently in a well-digging near Aurangabad, of what some dealers at Denver were tentatively calling a mixture of scolecite and mesolite, but which has now been shown to be the zeolite species thomsonite.
Durable specimens may resist careless handling, earthquakes and other hazards; it is well to keep this in mind when making your selections for a display collection, even though vulnerable specimens of crocoite, mesolite or others may be appealing.
Those, and some sparkling mesolite sun-bursts, were the eye-catchers in what I had spread out, even though some of the best ones had already been picked out in Cambridge by the Harvard Museum.

Among the usual goodies was a magnificent group of powellites from Nasik, shot through with scolecite or mesolite.
Great Canadian has also recently collected some quite nice specimens of "stilbite" (presently unanalyzed) associated with chabazite, healandite and occasional mesolite (?
