Mesotrophic Plants
plants that demand a moderate amount of nutrients, including mineral nutrients, in the soil or some other substrate. Mesotrophic plants occupy an intermediate position between eutrophic plants, which are relatively demanding in terms of nutrients, and oligotrophic plants, which are relatively undemanding. The spruce is an example of a mesotrophic plant. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
